RRX Aerospace Manufacturing Simulation
RRX Aerospace is conducting preliminary research into next
generation manufacturing simulation.
With modern computer aided design (CAD) and engineering (CAE)
tools it is theoretically possible for autonomous, and often competing corporations
to work on design and manufacture of seperate subassemblies and components,
according to their abilities and financial scope, while virtually guaranteeing
that the interfaces between subsystems will work correctly.
This of
course assumes agreement on the interface standards beforehand and strict adherence
thereafter.
One might consider interface standards a very important development
for efficiency and cost optimization of aerospace production across
wide spread geopolitical domains and boundaries, connected by high performance
networks.
