RRX is conducting preliminary research into next generation
aerospace design.
A wide range of next generation unmanned aerial
vehicle (UAV) designs may, similar to current thinking for manned systems,
be required to perform a wide variety of missions, under varying conditions.
Next generation air surveillance and defense systems, across the globe, may
potentially find uses for thousands of specialized UAVs.
Notably one of the most critical factors for
ongoing success may be the scaling of UAV related network infrastructure,
in consideration of near real time control and analysis capability, potentially by thousands
of human pilots.
One factor for some highly specialized UAVs may be the ability
to hover, land vertically or possibly dock
with some form of moving platform.
